No Regrets For Our Youth – better sub-titles

I am not sure if it is wise to post this given Toho’s recent legal action.

I did mention a month or so ago in response to a post on Vili’s news pages that an English friend of mine who has good Japanese language skills and contacts has offered to help do some better sub-titles for this film. I sent him a copy of my BoYing version of this along with the sub-title file. He is back in Japan for a few months and I haven’t heard from him recently, but I will keep you posted on how this project develops.

From another post, maybe BFI have some of these early films in preparation for release. Eastern Eye / Madman in Australia might also be working on some given their imminent release of Sanshiro Sugata II.

I am not sure that they would come after you for subtitles. Wasn’t there a film I was supposed to get the subtitles from for you? Please let me know.

It was The Most Beautiful. Both copies I have of this have failed to decrypt, but I can watch it on a stand alone player. Strange.

I will try to extract it this week.
