The Japan Foundation is touring the UK with a film programme inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s Ikiru, providing what they describe as “an exciting collection of films looking at the way in which Japanese filmmakers have been observing and capturing people’s lives, and how people across the ages persevere, negotiate and reconcile with the environment and situation they live in.”
The season started on the 5th of February and will run until late March. For more information and a full schedule, see the Japan Foundation website.
