While looking around for decent vocabulary training programs, I accidentally came across some smart.fm vocabulary lists for Kurosawa’s Dreams. As far as I can see, only lists for the first four episodes are available, but if you feel adventurous (and have a basic command of Japanese), you may be interested in checking it out before next month’s film club feature (which is Dreams):
It would actually be a fun project to capture Japanese subtitles from all of Kurosawa’s movies, auto-rank vocabulary items according to the number of times they appear in his films, and create a Kurosawa vocabulary trainer based on the results. Unfortunately, it’s also something that I don’t have time for these days. 😥
