Kurosawa and Kamo no Chomei

    I have found a connection between Kurosawa and the 13th century poet and Buddhist Kamo no Chomei. Not only in Madadayo but in other films as well. Does anybody have thoughts?

    Hi and welcome to the group, chomei! It would be interesting to hear your thoughts about the connection.

    There was also a post recently by Shintsurezuregusa which looked at Hōjōki and Madadayo.
