BFI have recently announced a 4K and Blu-ray release of Throne of Blood that will be released on May 19th this year. It seems BFI are doing 4K / Blu-ray re-releases of the movies featured in their Samurai Collection Blu-ray set that was released in 2014, but now with extra features and a new restoration for the films. So I’d predict a Hidden Fortress 4K / Blu-ray will get announced by BFI for either Summer or Winter this year.
