Film Club Special Edition for Highest 2 Lowest?

Spike Lee’s High and Low adaptation Highest 2 Lowest is now playing as a limited theatrical release and my understanding is that it will be globally available on the Apple TV+ streaming service from September 5. The reviews so far have been good.

Are you guys planning to watch it on Apple’s service (I definitely am) and would you be interested in discussing it together, a bit like we used to with the film club? I’m hoping to have the time to watch it during the release weekend myself.

I am aiming to see it as well as High and Low in a theater this week, and would love to discuss it! I have never participated in the film club, however.

That’s not a problem at all! We called it a “film club”, but it was really just a way for us to watch one movie a month and chat about it here. Even if we weren’t in the same space (or time) to watch the film, it helped with the discussions because the movie was fresh in everyone’s minds.

Saw Highest 2 Lowest in theaters and I’d definitely be down to discuss it with others around here!

I rewatched high and low in a theater and part of Highest 2 Lowest, though did not complete it for reasons I am happy to discuss. I enjoyed high and low more than my first watch!
