I have been dying to see this movie ever since I first read the synopsis. The people at Criterion just keep on putting out the best DVDs, by far. I’m sure this one will be no exception.

For me their worst cover has to be for The Hidden Fortress. It’s just completely wrong.

Hmmm yeah, along with their High And Low cover I’d say it is the weakest. Their simple designs generally work like gangbusters but this is somewhat boring.

A curious choice for cover art, though. I really like the way it looks, but at the same time it somehow doesn’t really look like “Drunken Angel” to me.

Funny how I checked Criterion yesterday to see if they had put up November releases… Day early.
