Youtube: A Message from Akira Kurosawa

Someone seems to have uploaded to Youtube two chapters from the A Message from Akira Kurosawa: For Beautiful Movies interview series that was done in the early 1990s. These are commercially available both as a Japanese R2 DVD without English subtitles (see the documentaries section) as well as part of Criterion’s R1 DVD release of Ikiru (see the DVD section). As a result, non-R1 and non-Japanese audiences are still to the best of my knowledge left without the possibility to obtain the interviews on DVD.
