This is just a short note to mention that the Japundit blog mentions a list of 100 thinkers and visionaries that the Japanese have recently voted the best in an online poll — Akira Kurosawa makes the list as number 24.

Meanwhile, someone has posted on YouTube a video of the interview Akira Kurosawa did with Takeshi Kitano around the release of the Madadayo movie. Unfortunately, there are no subtitles.
